Problem
Ocean conditions directly impact offshore operations — but high-resolution data is hard to find.
Without it, teams can’t make accurate risk assessments. Wave height alone can limit crew safety and shorten work windows, leading to unexpected delays that cost up to £1m/day during construction.
Solution
NeuWave’s models deliver hindcast data at 60x higher resolution and 10x greater accuracy than the industry standard. This leap in precision empowers project management and procurement teams working on offshore assets — like wind farms, wave energy converters, and export cables — to plan vessel schedules more effectively. The result? Up to £100 million in savings per project, per year.
NeuWave Founders
Jana Stella (CEO and Co-Founder) – Jana has five years of cross-sector experience in management and innovation, combining technical expertise with client-facing work. Her oceanography research produced advanced numerical and AI-driven wave models, deepening the understanding of sea conditions.
Lucas Martin (Lead Software Engineer and Co-Founder) – Lucas is specialises in front-end development, building consumer and business apps across Finance, Cloud, and Geospatial. He’s led full software lifecycles and managed apps used by thousands of top-tier clients. At NeuWave, he’ll also oversee operations.
Chris Wright (Lead Data Engineer and Co-Founder) – Chris has a PhD in quantum computing and a new quantum language, he brings deep optimisation expertise. He’s programmed for 13 years in AI for finance and 3D modelling, and holds an award-winning BSc in Computer Science.
