EHAB launches new MGA & tech platform

Insurtech Gateway portfolio company EHAB has officially launched a new MGA & tech platform. WeatherWise Studio, is EHAB’s parametric weather insurance platform designed to help brokers structure and place weather-related cover significantly faster than traditional processes.

The launch follows EHAB becoming an Appointed Representative of Gateway Platform Services Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 790558).

Faster parametric structuring

WeatherWise Studio enables brokers to structure parametric weather policies for a wide range of climate and weather-related risks, including extreme heat, rainfall, wildfire proximity, crop yield volatility, and event disruption. Historically, structuring these products could take anywhere from several days to multiple weeks, often requiring specialist input from actuaries, meteorologists, and data scientists. EHAB’s platform reduces that process to under 30 minutes.

Expanding access to climate risk cover

The platform, which is completely free for brokers to use, is already being trialled by broker teams operating across more than 150 countries, spanning sectors including renewable energy, agriculture, construction, commercial real estate, manufacturing, logistics, and technology infrastructure.

The launch reflects growing demand for more flexible approaches to climate and weather risk as businesses face increasing volatility from extreme events and shifting environmental conditions. It also highlights the broader opportunity for parametric insurance to address protection gaps that conventional indemnity products can struggle to cover.

Built for brokers

Built on more than 45 years of global weather data at 9km resolution, WeatherWise Studio combines analytics, visualisation tools, and automated structuring capabilities to help brokers design and distribute parametric cover more efficiently. The platform also supports API integrations and white-labelled workflows, allowing insurers and brokers to embed weather risk products directly into their own propositions.

As part of the platform, brokers can model historical events, assess client exposure against past weather patterns, and structure policies around specific operational or financial impacts. EHAB says this helps improve transparency for clients and reduce one of the longstanding barriers to parametric adoption: basis risk and expectation management.

The platform connects brokers to a network of direct insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, and reinsurance partners, with more than $350m in aggregate capacity available across multiple jurisdictions.

Backing the future of climate risk infrastructure

Insurtech Gateway is proud to invest in early-stage businesses like EHAB that are reimagining how risk is measured, mitigated, and managed. EHAB is an excellent example of a new kind of MGA, built on a technology layer that we believe the insurance market increasingly needs: infrastructure that helps the industry respond faster and more effectively to emerging climate and operational risks.

Richard Chattock, Chief Executive Officer at Insurtech Gateway, said:

“Climate volatility is creating entirely new operational and financial risks for businesses globally, while also exposing the limitations of traditional insurance products. Parametric insurance has long been seen as part of the solution, but adoption has often been constrained by complexity, speed, and specialist resourcing requirements.

EHAB is helping address that challenge by making parametric structuring significantly more accessible and operationally scalable for brokers and carriers. This is exactly the kind of infrastructure innovation we believe the market needs as insurance adapts to increasingly complex and fast-moving risks.”

Josh Graham, Chief Executive Officer at EHAB, said:

“Parametric is the right answer to a climate that’s outpacing the industry. The wrong way to deliver it is bespoke, slow, and limited to a handful of structures. We built WeatherWise Studio as the rails, the regulated infrastructure that lets any broker, anywhere, structure and place weather cover for any peril, on any client, at the speed the climate now demands.”
